Gourmet Feel Good Coffee

Feel good gourmet coffees

Coffee was simply coffee – until we discovered how to make it even better. It started on a simple concept: Better coffee, that’s better for you. The idea led to a unique discovery –  and feel good coffee was born. We found that by adding a couple of truly remarkable superfoods, we could deliver a very healthy serving of antioxidants and an entirely better energy level. We add 100% all natural cacao (dark chocolate) and matcha green tea for a whole new level in energy and health.  We don’t know exactly what mother nature has helped up create, but there’s definitely something going on that picks you up in a whole new way.

It starts with premium coffees from Central and South America, roasted to perfection by a 100 year old family company who roasts and packs for us.  The selection and quality are unsurpassed, delivering superb flavor in every cup. It starts with sourcing from great coffee farmers and estates throughout Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Columbia. And while these plantations are not “Fair Trade” certified, we know from experience that our coffees are fairly traded – having worked with some of the same growers for decades to form a mutually beneficial relationship.

At Living Java we take the premium, gourmet coffees and add natural cacao, matcha green tea and Honeybush to round out the bitterness and provide better energy, clarity and focus than a regular cup of Joe.

Our Innergy Blends simply make you feel good. Maybe it’s the endorphins from the chocolate or the all natural, calming stimulants from the green tea help produce. Whatever it is, if you like coffee… you’ll love our Innergy Blends.

Storing

How should I store my coffee?

We recommend that you keep a week’s worth of coffee in an airtight container at room temperature. Once opened, our ground coffees should be brewed within a week or two from the time you open the package. For longer storage, keep it in the freezer. Packages of frozen coffee should be opened as infrequently as possible.

Buying small amounts frequently is the best way to enjoy gourmet, good for you coffee.  You might want to try our Ready-Go Paks – 2 oz portion packs that make a hearty pot of coffee at home or make for great travel packs (Yeah, no more stale hotel or office coffee)!

Brewing

What are the most important things to know about brewing coffee?

1. Use enough coffee (2 Tbsp. ground coffee per 6 oz. of water).

2. Start with freshly drawn, filtered water (let it sit for 30 seconds after boiling if you’re using a press or manual pour filter).

3. Stir your carafe of brewed coffee after all the liquid has passed through the filter to homogenize the flavors.

4. Don’t cook your coffee on a hot plate; once brewed put it in a thermos or carafe to keep it hot.

For the best in flavor, try press pot brewing. Since there are no paper filters involved, you get 100% of the coffee’s flavor and you can let it “steep” to your desired strength!
